Ingredients:
- 5 pieces HAPPIEE! Plant-based Chickiee Patties
- For marinade
- 2 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp grated lemongrass
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- For peanut sauce
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- ½ cup ground peanuts
- ½ cup dried chilli, soaked overnight
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 shallots
- 2 candlenuts
- 1 tbsp sugar/gula melaka
- Water (sufficient)
- Salt to taste
- Oil (sufficient)
Instructions:
For Chickiee Patties
- Thaw and cut into strips. Combine ingredients for marinade and marinade HAPPIEE! Chickiee patty strips in the marinade for 1h. Remove from marinade and skewer with bamboo skewers. Air fry/bake until golden brown.
For peanut sauce
- Blend dried chilli, garlic, shallots and candlenut to form a rough paste. Heat oil in a pan and fry paste until fragrant.
- Add peanut butter and fry until well combined.
- Add sugar and ground peanuts and simmer.
- Add water if the paste is too thick.
- Simmer until ground peanuts are softened.
- Add salt to taste and serve.
